Although it is technically still summer – the feelings of fall have arrived. Pumpkin and spice candles, lattes, desserts and scenes have all been showered on us through social media and the shelves of retail stores. Speaking of shopping – fall fashion has been on sale for weeks now – and with our short summer, for some it probably feels as if fall has been here for ages.
With the turn of the season comes the turn of fashion. Although floral prints are in for this fall season – changing your wardrobe to a warmer more Americana look is what we see most often. And despite that fact that color is vital to every wardrobe – it is this time of year that all of our bright summery clothes are put away and our rustic colored pieces make their way into our fashion displays.
One of the staple pieces of fall that I love due to the comfort, but also versatility to literally go with everything, are blue jeans. Dressed up or down – they are the go to for fall apparel. While most love throwing on a pair of jeans, a hoodie and boots – I feel as if jeans are at their best when dressed to impress.
This ensemble also brings out the best of my closet – for example, putting together an outfit with pieces that are timeless and have ultimately been in my closet for quite some time. A pair of cropped blue jeans and white blouse – everyone owns both of these, two must-have staple pieces. Red pumps – mine are from Target providing an endless amount of versatility. Grey sweater – I actually have had this sweater since my sophomore year of high school – yes you heard right, high school – purchased this around my 16th birthday. Statement necklace – this specific necklace is from TJ Maxx, but check out my recent post for other great and affordable statement necklace ideas.
